ANNOY vs IRRITATE

– Significa “molestar“, “fastidiar“.

EXAMPLE:

· She is just trying to annoy you. (Ella sólo esta tratando de molestarte)
· Her silence was beginning to annoy me. (Su silencio estaba empezando a molestarme)

–  Significa “irritar“, “enojar“, “enfadar“.
– Generalmente implica un nivel de “molestia” o “fastidio” de mayor intensidad que “annoy” o más prolongado en el tiempo.

EXAMPLE:
·The noise of the traffic outside my flat really irritates me.
· Young children running around restaurants when I’m trying to eat is really irritating.
