DIFERENCIAS ENTRE
ADVICE AND ADVISE
ADVICE

ADVISE

– Sustantivo. Significa consejo, sugerencia o asesoramiento profesional.
– Es un sustantivo incontable. Por lo tanto no es correcto utilizarlo con el artículo indeterminado “an advice” ni en plural “advices”.

EXAMPLE:

· The best advice I ever got was that knowledge is power and to keep reading.
· I think advice is cheap. You can only really learn by doing and making mistakes.

ADVISE

– Verbo. Significa aconsejar, recomendar.– Al tratarse de un verbo, se utiliza de forma conjugada (“You are advising her”, “She advised me”, “I will advise you”…)

EXAMPLE:

One can advise comfortably from a safe port.
· Politics is such a torment that I advise everyone I love not to mix with it.
